🐠FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS🐠

What is Alpha Phi Omega?
Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-educational service organization founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the organization. With more than 400,000 members on over 375 campuses, Alpha Phi Omega continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.

What’s required of me to rush APO?
The first step is attending one info session! You will get an abundance of information about the requirements after that.

Does APO Haze?
We strictly DO NOT haze. Hazing is in direct contradiction with everything that Alpha Phi Omega stands for. Besides complying with our University's and the national fraternity's anti-hazing policies, we just prefer a spirit of friendship and brotherhood with our new pledges.

Am I allowed to be in both APO and a social fraternity/sorority?
Yes, absolutely! There are many of our members who are involved in both. We like to see brothers who are involved in many different ways throughout campus.

Who can rush APO?
We are open to all years, majors, genders, nationalities, etc! Membership is open to all UIUC Students!
